The absurdity of those words
Sickness creeping through the soul
Cut ― cut ― cut
Hysterical laughter
Waiting to unleash itself
Only restraint locks it in
Cut ― again
The laughter high-pitched
Zeroing in on the sound
Voices raised
O sweet cacophony!
Only restraint shuts it out.
End: 8:16 p.m.

O sombre souls!
Saw you not this wonderful volume that was spoken by these verses?

Restraint before something. Restraint during something, is it?
I prefer restraint. Restraint is better than roaming free in this vilainish world.
Of course. Restraint is what holds us back when we feel like tearing out human flesh. Restraint is what holds us back when we burn with fury at injustice caused to us. Restraint is what holds us back and prevents us from being consumed by the rage that eats into our very essence.
Restraint lets us survive. Restraint lets us endure.
Hah.
