Falling Star

Date: 16.10.2008
Time: 6:05 p.m.

What makes a person bleed out hope,
Kill despair with silence,
One that destroys more than it repairs?
Can the shutting out of fears
Only be brought about
By blotting out every anticipation
With darkened ink?
We rid ourselves of numbness, sometimes
By finding work to do
Failing which we try
One last time before
Giving up for good…
Yet like a child promised a happy ending
Before bedtime arrives
To claim the unfinished tale,
We keep hoping for Hope…
And sometimes,
That is all that sustains us.

End: 6:10 p.m.

Sometimes it is hopelessness too that keeps one going. Wrap your head around that one ;)

BEAUTIFUL!!!
:)

looking away is often the easiest way...and aren't we doing it all the time...?

and then realization hits.

and still we wake up the next morning.
hardly knowing we're still hoping.

keep it up.:)

I was strongly reminded of this short little Alice Walker poem:
Though not
A Contest
Life
is
The award
And we
have
won.
